Verse of the Day – July 21, 2026

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. — Jeremiah 31:25

What’s Happening Here

In the middle of Jeremiah’s prophecies of judgment and exile, God speaks words of future restoration. This verse is part of a beautiful promise that after hardship, God will renew and satisfy His people. It is tender assurance for those who feel worn out.

The Word

“Refresh” carries the idea of watering or reviving what is dry and weary. “Satisfy” means to fill to the full, to bring complete contentment. God is not distant. He sees the weary and the faint, and He promises to meet them personally with refreshment and satisfaction.

The World Then

The people of Judah were heading into exile. Many felt faint and weary from years of unfaithfulness and coming judgment. Into that darkness, God spoke hope. Restoration was coming, and with it, personal care for each tired soul.

An Echo in History

This verse has encouraged many in seasons of exhaustion. It echoes the heart of Jesus who said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Believers across centuries have found God faithful to refresh and satisfy when they felt they had nothing left.

The Living Edge

We all have seasons when we feel weary and faint. This verse is God’s gentle promise. He sees you. He is committed to refreshing and satisfying your soul. Turn to Him in those tired places. He is the source of true renewal.

A Closing Thought

God will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.

Come to Him.
