God isn’t asking Israel for more or better worship. He’s telling them He cannot stand the worship they’re already offering — because the festivals and offerings have been completely uncoupled from justice and righteousness. Amos 5:24 isn’t a verse about activism. It’s a verse about what authentic worship actually produces. Mishpat and tsedaqah — active justice and embodied righteousness — were never optional additions to faith. They were always the evidence of it.
