Today I posted the Verse & Vision for Psalm 30:5. Then I had to come back. This happens often, almost daily. But today the verse slapped me in the face. So hard it stung. This is the personal note I could not leave unwritten: what it feels like when weeping was only supposed to lodge for a night, and instead it brought a suitcase.

Psalm 30:5 holds sorrow and hope in one breath: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. God’s anger is brief. His favor is life. The night is real, and it is not the end.
