Bring Home Here: Soothing the Ache of Uneasiness

This morning, I shared with you that I awoke to find myself in a space of deep unease, grappling with anxiety and fear. It was as though I had lost the thread of joy and peace that had been so palpable in recent weeks. As I sat with those feelings, I realized that the ache was not just about fear—it was about a longing. A longing for clarity, for stability, for the feeling of being “home.”

But then I saw an older short from Kerry K in my YouTube recommended and was reminded that “home” is not a place. It’s a state of being. Now, I want to share this encouragement with you.

When we feel homesick, when we feel a bit lost in our own realities, it’s not because we need to go somewhere new—it’s because we are yearning to return to the truth of who we are. That truth is not a destination; it is a frequency, a harmonic resonance with love, unity, peace, and joy. It is the part of us that exists beyond the chaos and confusion of this world. It is, in a sense, what many of us call “5D” or higher consciousness.

This longing, this homesickness, is not a burden. It is a compass. It is the soul’s way of reminding us to bring the energy of “home” into our here and now. The craving we feel for sanity, for love, for unity—it’s not a sign that we are broken or lost. It’s a sign that we are tethered to something greater.

As Kerry stated, “We didn’t come here to escape or to leave this world behind. If that were the case, why would we have come here at all? The truth is, we are here to bring home here.”

The ache we feel when we are disconnected from that truth is a gift, though it doesn’t always feel like one. It keeps us reaching, keeps us remembering. It reminds us to create, and to maintain, spaces of sanity, peace, and clarity—not just for ourselves, but for everyone around us. It is in this longing that we find our calling: to bring the frequencies of love, peace, and truth into this world. To make this place a sanctuary.

This morning’s struggles, though heavy, became an invitation. They reminded me to bring “home” into my heart, even in the midst of uncertainty. They reminded me that every moment is a chance to ground ourselves in the frequencies we long for. It is not always easy, but it is always worth it.

Scripture speaks to this truth, offering guidance and reassurance. Jesus says:

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. (John 14:1)

The Kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:21)

You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14)

Christ came to teach us how to align with this truth. His message reminds us that the home we long for is not outside of us but within us. His life and teachings point us toward love, unity, and peace. When I meditate on what He might say to us today, I hear this gentle encouragement:

Beloved, you are not lost. You are not broken. You are the light, the vessel through which heaven touches earth. The home you long for is already within you, waiting to be revealed. Your longing is a holy invitation—a reminder that my Spirit lives in you and calls you into truth.

Do not seek to escape this world, but to transform it. Bring the peace you long for into your heart. Share the love you ache for with those around you. Together, we will build the Kingdom here, not in some far-off place but in this moment, with every act of love, every moment of faith, and every step toward unity. You are my hands, my feet, and my heart in this world. Bring home here.

This is what I believe Christ wants us to remember: Home is not a distant promise; it is a present reality we are meant to embody. His message is not one of escape but of transformation. Just as He brought heaven to earth through His life, we are called to do the same.

So today, I invite you to join me in this practice of bringing home here. Let’s create spaces where peace and joy can flourish, even in the chaos. Let’s embrace the longing as a guide and the ache as a reminder. Let’s keep showing up, for ourselves and for each other, as we journey toward the truth of who we are.
