In recent weeks and months, God has been granting me greater clarity and deeper conviction than I’ve known in a long time. I’ve been seeing and feeling Him everywhere more loudly, lately. He is pressing upon my heart more and more hard things, both to do and to say, as a fellow human being walking this narrow path alongside you. I kow that many of you are having the same experiences. These are not easy assignments, yet I know they are for His glory and for the strengthening of His people in this hour.
As I’ve been processing God’s instruction to me, more prayer requests are flooding into my inbox than perhaps ever before. They arrive daily from those whose spouses have walked out on them and their small children, from people facing job losses that are hitting hard, and from believers under intense worldly pressure and spiritual attack. Many of the same prayer requests I add to my list for others are exactly the same as my own.
The weight of it all feels overwhelming at times, doesn’t it? Especially lately. These are hard seasons, and we’re watching the world escalate in ways that echo the very signs we’ve been told to watch for.

The Boulder of Prophecy Is Rolling
We’re living in days where events in the Middle East, natural upheavals, and global unrest are converging like never before. Wars and rumors of wars dominate the headlines. The situation with Iran, Israel, and the broader tensions feels impossible to resolve by human logic. Religious fervor drives conflicts that diplomacy can’t easily touch. Leaders shift between strength and negotiation, but the momentum only builds.
Add to that super El Niño patterns, droughts, fires, flooding, talk of coming food crises, and oil shortages. Tech leaders warn that 2027 will bring changes so profound we may not recognize the world. We’re just months away from that time.
Jesus warned us of these very things:
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. (Matthew 24:6-8)
These aren’t isolated troubles. They’re converging. The “boulder” I often picture from that first Indiana Jones movie is rolling downhill with prophetic momentum, and I don’t see it slowing or reversing. Even critics who push back on timing, on prophecy, and even on my work here, can’t deny that conditions are intensifying, not improving.
We Are in the Season
Paul told the Thessalonians they wouldn’t need him to write much about the times and seasons. He told them they would know. We’re in that place now. Jesus said when these signs begin to happen:
…look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. (Luke 21:28)
I believe with all my heart these escalating events point toward the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church. The world looks at the chaos and asks, “How does this end?” From a purely natural perspective, there’s no clear exit. But we know, from prophecy and from our hearts, the Lord will step in. The Church is not appointed to wrath, and the signs tell us our gathering to Him is near.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2)
We’re not in darkness. We are children of the light. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Stay Anchored in the Word
In these last days, traps and rabbit trails, many demonic, are everywhere. False teaching abounds. Distractions pull us off center. If you struggle to devote time to Scripture, if your attention span feels short, start small: Commit to two verses today. Next week, try three. Build toward a chapter. If you miss a day, don’t condemn yourself. Just return.
The Word changes us from the inside out. It is our anchor when everything else shakes. It is the foundation of our human peace. And these times are not times for fear but for faith, vigilance, and hope.
Praise Him in the difficulty. Surrender daily. Protect your peace. Gather with believers, even if it’s in spaces like this or around your own table.
May the Lord surround you with His presence, strengthen your heart, guard your mind, and fill you with unshakeable hope as we wait for His soon return. Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied to you in Christ Jesus.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
