Paul says everything in Scripture was written to give us hypomonē — endurance, the ability to remain under the weight of something worth waiting for — and paraklēsis, the comfort that makes remaining possible. This isn’t a verse about feeling encouraged. It’s a verse about being equipped. The God who kept His word across centuries of waiting has not changed His approach. The record is the evidence.
