What happens when we confuse consumer preference with divine provision? In a culture that has taught us to call convenience “self-care” and excess “blessing,” faith can become an excuse for refusing the wisdom and stewardship God has already given us. Sometimes the answer to “Lord, why?” is surprisingly ordinary: make the coffee, count the cost, leave the status behind, and remember where your security actually lives. The world may get loud, expensive, and superficial, but the standard of the Kingdom doesn’t budge.
