The Art of Releasing || When the Void Becomes the Invitation

The art of releasing begins the moment we stop gripping what is already gone.

Losing access to a place, especially a place like this one, can feel like losing everything.

The familiar paths, the light that fell a certain way, the quiet that once held us… no longer available.

What remains is a void, sharp and undeniable.

But it is a universal law that a void will not stay empty.

Something will come to fill it.

The only question is what.

Releasing with grace and gratitude is the only way to make room for something as wonderful, or even better, than what we lost.

Clinging keeps the space occupied by what can no longer stay. Softening the hands, the heart, the will, allows the new thing to arrive.

This is not passive surrender.

It is active trust.

It is choosing to believe that the same God who allowed the emptying also holds the filling.

I am learning that releasing is not the end of the story.

It is the doorway.

I am many things. I am a mother, a wife, a homemaker, a counselor, a teacher, and a caregiver. I am also, at the core and most importantly, a seeker. My hobbies and my work are one and the same. I am an artist. I am a writer, photographer, musician, and bookworm. I love film, music, words - ART. More than anything, I am an expressionist. I hope you enjoy your visit to this site, and if you have any questions/suggestions please feel free to contact me. Thanks for visiting!
