Souls are trying to connect while speaking entirely different languages, one calling it covenant, the other calling it convenience, and the gap between them is not random friction. It’s the sound of awakening. This post names what the system trains us to bury, calls out the church for stripping the mysticism out of Scripture and handing back a rulebook instead of a map, and asks what it costs to keep choosing the map anyway.

Authenticity Unveiled | Angry and of Good Cheer
I am angry, and I have stopped apologizing for it. Scripture never asked me to talk myself out of what I feel when I watch evil dress itself up and take a bow. It asked me what I do with it once it arrives. This is what it looks like to hold righteous anger in one hand and good cheer in the other, without letting either one cancel out the truth of the moment.
Authenticity Unveiled | The Farce Unmasks Itself
Scroll social media with eyes that truly see and the whole thing starts to feel like a fever dream. To the natural eye it is just the way things are. To the person walking in discernment, it is something else entirely: a complete farce, a staged production running on borrowed time. And that farce is beginning to unmask itself. Proverbs 6:16-19 names exactly what we’re watching, seven things God hates, all on full display right now.
The Truth About Your Feelings | Daily Bread
A conversation with a friend I love became the doorway to a truth I didn’t fully understand myself until I took it to God in prayer. We think we know the difference between the devil and God because we were handed a picture as children, an angel on one shoulder, a devil on the other, good feelings and bad feelings marking which one we’ve chosen. But that picture is incomplete, and it left me unable to help my friend see what I was actually trying to say. This post is the tool God gave me instead, a way to finally understand feelings for what they are, where they come from, and how to tell the difference between what is righteous and what only wears righteousness as a costume.
Verse & Vision | July 1, 2026
Paul doesn’t tell you to feel joyful about your affliction. He tells you to stay hopeful underneath it, to remain there without collapsing, and to keep showing up in prayer while you wait. Three present participles, one continuous posture — because removing any one of them collapses the other two. Corrie ten Boom prayed in a concentration camp barracks the guards wouldn’t enter. That’s what this verse looks like with skin on.
I Hate July.
There is a version of my father that exists on paper. It lists the facts of him the way facts do, accurately and without warmth. This is not that version. This is the one where he drove a demon out of his daughter’s house without flinching, opened his blue eyes one last time for her and nobody else, and taught her without ever once saying so that love is not a feeling you manage. It is a decision you make and keep making. I learned that in five days in July. I have never loved any other way since.
Look Again | The Jesus You May Not Know
The Jesus most people carry in their hearts is not the Jesus who walked Galilee. He is a soft echo, a trimmed down version built for a culture that cannot stomach holiness with teeth. This is the side of Christ the modern church leaves out: angry without sin, confrontational without losing love, forgiving without forgetting. It is time to meet the whole Christ, not the curated one.
Verse & Vision | June 30, 2026
I sat down this morning to write about someone else’s hypocrisy. I’m ending the post writing about my own instead, because Luke 6:27 wouldn’t let me get away with the version I wanted to write. This isn’t a takedown. It’s a mirror.
Authenticity Unveiled | The Book They Were Always Supposed to Read
I was raised learning the Bible. But it was in adulthood, when I began going back through the literary canon on my own terms, that I understood something no one had ever quite said plainly to me: every great work of Western literature is a shadow of the Scriptures. The Bible is not a religious artifact sitting beside Western civilization. It is the source code Western civilization runs on. It is the DNA. And people who do not know it do not understand America.
Look Again | What the Full Moon Is Actually Telling You
A column about the June 30th Strawberry Moon crossed my path this week. Good observations, real questions — wrapped in astrological language that most Christians will scroll right past. I want to gently say: look again. Because underneath the framework is something that requires no astrological belief to receive. There is real science here. There is ancient wisdom here. And there is, if you have eyes to see it, the fingerprint of a God who designed all of this on purpose, long before anyone gave it a label.
Authenticity Unveiled | The Empire Never Ended: What I Learned When I Stopped Looking Away
Most of us were taught that the British Empire ended. That colonialism was dismantled. That the world moved on. That the story had a satisfying resolution. That is at best a convenient fiction, at worst a blatant lie. What we call globalism today is not a new phenomenon. It is the British imperial project in a modern suit, and understanding that single fact changes everything else.
Look Again | Abiding: Two Trees, One Field, Two Realities
I was headed to a local wildlife management area before the world fully woke up, camera bag on the seat beside me, fog still thick across the fields. That is when I noticed the trees. Two of them, standing in perfect alignment with one another, maybe twenty feet apart. The one closest to the pond’s edge was full — genuinely, quietly full. The other stood at that twenty-foot distance from the water and it showed. Same pasture. Same sky. Same drought. Twenty feet of distance from the source, and two entirely different realities. I have lived in both of those trees.
Look Again | Series Premiere
Creation has been preaching the whole time. We just stopped attending the sermon. This is an invitation to lift your eyes from the crisis long enough to see what has been surrounding you all along — not as an escape from the hard thing, but as a reorientation within it.
Sunday Sessions | Blows of Fate: Beethoven and the Symphony of Grace
There is a story behind the most recognizable four notes in all of Western music. Most of us have heard them: that short, insistent dun-dun-dun-dunnn that opens Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. We associate it with grandeur, with concert halls, with something important arriving. What we do not always know is that those four notes were born in something far less majestic. Beethoven called them the “blows of fate,” a phrase he used to describe the recurring difficulties that punctuated his life. The knocks did not stop. They kept coming. What he did was write them into the music anyway, and then he wrote past them, into something that sounds, unmistakably, like triumph. Not because the difficulties were resolved. But because he moved through them without being destroyed by them. I have thought about that a great deal lately.
Dear Christians… | The World Found the Door — They Just Don’t Know Whose House It Is
For years I did what the world told me to do when life felt uncertain. I talked to trees. I cloud gazed. I journaled. I looked for signs from the Universe and listened to my body and sat in the quiet waiting for something to tell me which way to go. And here is the thing I was not expecting — it worked. Something was genuinely there in the stillness.
I just did not yet know His name.
The world did not invent stillness or wonder or the impulse to turn toward creation when the noise gets too loud. God did. Creation has always spoken of Him — Romans 1:20 says so plainly. When someone sits beside a tree and feels something ancient and settling move through them, they are not imagining it. They are standing inside His handiwork without the map to know whose house they are in.
The door is real. The peace is real. The quiet voice is real.
But without the Person, those tools curve back inward — toward ego, toward self-trust dressed up as enlightenment, toward a Universe that conveniently agrees with whatever we already wanted. I know because I lived there. The difference was not the practice. The difference was surrender. The moment I stopped trying to invite God in on my terms and accepted that He had already invited me — that I am His temple, already indwelt, already spoken to from the inside — everything changed.
He knocked first. He chose first. He loved first. And He has been speaking longer than any of us have been listening.
The Room Where Israel Wasn’t | Prophecy Update
The nations signed their memorandum and called it peace. Iran called it a victory. Hezbollah called it a great achievement. And the tiny nation at the center of all of it was largely absent from the table. I have been watching the news with one eye and my Bible with the other, and what I am seeing is not a diplomatic breakthrough. What I am seeing is prophecy. Zechariah 12:2-3 told us this was coming — Jerusalem as a burdensome stone for all people, and every nation that burdens itself with it cut in pieces. The players are on the stage. The rehearsals are accelerating. And the God who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Come read what the Word says about this moment.
