American liberals scream about Gaza, genocide, and Free Palestine while treating Hamas and the IRGC as romantic underdogs. Most of them live in a country where the worst daily threat is bad Wi-Fi. They have never lived under the theocratic police states or militia rule they soft-pedal. Searching “summer outfit trends” and calling the resulting feed research is not waking up. It is proof the algorithm trained them to feel sophisticated while remaining historically illiterate. There is a difference between a people and the men with guns who rule them. If your version of Free Palestine requires defending the groups that embed among civilians, divert concrete into tunnels, and reject demilitarization, you are not freeing anyone. You are protecting the leadership that treats Palestinian deaths as strategic assets. Authenticity is the willingness to follow the evidence even when it ruins the preferred story. Soul over ego. Evidence over performance.
